Living With Herpes

Living with herpes for many people who have been recently diagnosed may seem impossible.  You may be overwhelmed by emotions ranging from fear to anger to disbelief.  It may even seem like the life that you had is over.

Well, in a strange way…it is over!

For people who have had herpes for a long time and have learned to accept it as a part of their lives, life with herpes is really no different than it was before their diagnosis.  In most cases life can be better.  And the best part is…you don’t have to learn the hard way.  Your journey to a fantastic life with herpes doesn’t have to take years.  It can start now!

Living With Genital Herpes Is Not a Death Sentence!

It’s true!  Your life is not over…It’s just beginning!

I have herpes and I have a great life and once you learn how to live with herpes, you’ll discover that in order to effectively manage the effects that the virus has on your body, you’ll need to make a few healthy lifestyle changes.  Many of which will only enhance and add more value to your life.  Here are a few examples..

1.  Herpes Diet You may have to tweak your diet a little and get rid of excessive quantities of  processed foods (This is highly recommended even without herpes) and other food stuff that you really don’t need anyway.

2.  Herpes and Stress:  You will have to start eliminating stress.  Stress (both physical and mental) plays a major role in HSV outbreaks so learning different ways to get rid of or reduce it is going to be an absolute requirement if you want to control HSV.

3.  Casual Sex:  Casual Sex is over!  I know what you’re thinking!  But really, are one night stands fulfilling or is it just a physical release?  I’ve been there and I can appreciate  casual sex but a great sex life begins with growing intimate with your partner before the sexual act itself.  The feeling of intimate closeness with your partner is like no other and once you experience the pleasures, causal sex won’t seem as important.

4.  Herpes and Exercise:  Begin an Exercise Routine.  Developing and sticking to an exercise routine will not only make you feel better, it will also help reduce the stress in your life.  Just don’t over do it.  Intense exercise for beginners will create a lot of physical stress on your body and you’re more prone to an outbreak.  So just take it easy and slowly work yourself up to the intensity level you desire.

Until a cure for herpes is found, you’re going to have herpes for life.  But that shouldn’t stop you from experiencing this great thing we call life!

Don’t let this minor and aggravating skin condition control your life.  When coping with herpes, it’s important to remember that you’re not alone. There are millions of people all over the world who are currently happily living with herpes.

It’s important to get started now and take action to manage your health and the psychological effects of herpes. You have the power to change what you believe about the virus, yourself and living with herpes.
